Q: Who needs reality TV when Leroy is along on the trip? A: It Sure Ain’t Me!!! Leroy’s true life adventures are waaaay more interesting than all those lame reality shows depicting dysfunctional families. Did I mention that Leroy is 82 years young and kicks butt on guys half his age? He holds several Iron Butt records for longest, oldest, etc… Leroy is one of only 10 people in the world that have completed the “Border to Border to Border”. He rode his bike from Mexico to Canada and back to Mexico in less than 48 hours…! He was 79 at the time. He has ridden bikes as far north as Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and as far south as Panama. He has flown over to Europe and rented touring bikes there. Leroy has some truly amazing stories... For instance, how about that time in Mexico when Leroy broke his pelvis trying to ride his bike up the ass of a donkey? …Or the time on a guy trip to Mexico, his buddy Rufus’ bike got stuck in the river. Leroy and his buddies spent two nights in the wilderness without food and water until the Mexican Search Party finally rescued them. The woeful tale of “Los Lost Gringo’s” even made the daily news! …Or how about those times he has blacked out while performing aerobatics in his stunt plane? Now…, That’s Entertainment!!! Leroy can withstand 7 positive G’s and 5 negative G’s – even for a nonflyer like me, that sounds impressive. He has owned some of the best stunt planes ever built. He also owned his own airport and cropdusting operation in Crystal City, TX, running all his competitors out of business. He worked a while as a pilot in Alaska. One year, Leroy was ranked the Fastest Midget Race Car Driver in Texas. He once showed me a newspaper clipping praising Leroy Braxdale in his No. 5 Midget for sweeping First Place while A.J. Foyt comes up short in Second! There is not enough time or space to recount all of Leroy’s wild adventures… You will just have to tag along on a bike trip with him and hear them all first hand. You will be glad you did.
BTW, all of Leroy’s jokes are either too racy and/or politically incorrect to put ink to paper… Too Funny!!!
