July 4th - 13th day Alaska Trip

Leroy and I decided to hole up Haines for another day to give his back a rest. We will also get to watch the parade and the fireworks tonight. It stays light so long, the plan is to shoot 'em off around 10:30pm, but it is still gonna be too light to see much. Incidently, we saw the Canada Day celebration on the 1st of July at a little outpost on the Alaska Highway called Teslin. It was composed of a Fire Engine with sirens and lights, about 15-20 ribbon bedecked quad runners, and a couple of children riding their bikes -- Woo Hoo!!! We'll see how Leroy's back is feeling tomorrow and then see if we can go on further.
